The Senior Karate Karate Championship was held yesterday in Vogošća and the new / old senior champion of our country in the category up to 67 kg is Ervin Galić.

In his first fight, Galić defeated the Banja Luka representative with a score of 5:0 while in the second semi-final match he won the representative of KK Novi Grad Sarajevo 4:2. In the final he beat his club colleague with a score of 1:0.

It should be noted that Galić had done this championship with an injury (broken finger) and succeeded in winning the title of the state champion.

This national championship was also selective for the European Championship to be held in Gudalahari (Spain) in two weeks and the Balkans Championship in Čačka (Serbia) at the beginning of April.

“I am happy and proud of the result since I have managed to win the title of the senior champion of the state, I am in very good shape and it remains to me to rehabilitate the injury and iprove my form for the upcoming championships where I plan to make even better results with God’s help,” said Galić.

Galić plays for Karate club “Champion” Ilidža. It is precisely the club that is successfully led by celebrated BH karateka Denis Muhović was the most successful club in the country’s national karate championship.

For Galić, who is also a scholar of the Foundation “Source of Hope”, this was the seventh title of the country champion.
