In the period from 11.12. to 21. 12. activists of “Source of Hope Foundation“ participated in the organization of educational workshops on emotional intelligence and mental health on the topic of “Change yourself – Change the world” as part of the Mini-School of Non-Formal Education.

Education was performed in the form of 5 modules

·         Focus Training – with emphasis on maintaining focus

·         Encouraging Ambition 

·         Being the best version of yourself

·         Deployment of self-awareness

·         Self-empowerment

High school students and young people from the area of Ilidža and Sarajevo were the participants. The project was implemented with the aim of influencing the development of awareness of high school youth through interactive lectures and peer workshops, interactive group work and non-formal education. The aim of the Mini School was to encourage young people to recognize and develop their capabilities, and to map the needs of their peers, instead of shortcomings.

Upon completion of the project, a ceremony  of awarding certificates was organized, as well as a field trip for all participants in the program.

We are thankful for Selma Kesten’s and Jusuf Buljubašić’s help and our activists who helped organize the event, as well as other volunteers for their enormous contribution.

A pedagogue from one school also attended the event and said she was glad that students could spend their weekends in a place that is safe for them and where they will benefit and gain new knowledge.

 The students did not hide their enthusiasm, and at the end we bring the statement of one participant, a member of the Student Council, Rahia Đehović:

 “Everyone I talked to conveys only positive impressions, and I have the same. This was first and foremost a very rewarding but also fun experience. Therefore, I want to thank all the educators and organizers. I look forward to next year’s workshops.”
